Can I download my resume to Word or PDF?

Once your resume is ready there are a number of ways you can export your resumes or cover letters to start applying for jobs. You can download a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file of your resume either directly from your Dashboard or from the Resume Editor.In addition to the “Download PDF” button, you can see the “More” dropdown menu as well with options to download as a DOCX or TXT file. In addition to the DOCX/Word download being ready for our most popular Stockholm template, it is also now fully ready for our Sydney template. Please take note that when you download your resume as a Word document using the Sydney template, the color sidebar on the second page appears to be different than the first, however, once printed it will match. You can also access the “Share a link option” here as well. We are also pleased that the Docx(Word) export feature is now live for one of our more popular templates, “Going to Dublin.”

If you don't want to upgrade for a premium design theme, exporting a TXT file will allow you to copy and paste your resume content into a simple word processor like Word or Google Docs. Additionally, sharing an online link allows you to keep your resume in a premium design theme that is accessible online.

Export to DOCX

You can also download your resume as a DOCX file. DOCX files are saved in our most popular Stockholm and Sydney templates. Check the visual preview above to see what your document will look like after export. DOCX files allow you to edit styles, sizes, and colors on your device. However, DOCX doesn't support some PDF features, which may be lost in the process, so we suggest sticking with PDF if you're not sure.If you click on the “…” button you get a simple drop down menu that offers you several ways to download your resume:

You always have 3 options to download your resume: either as a TXT file (free), PDF, Word Doc, or DOCX file. Your resume will appear the same despite which download option you choose, with the exception of the TXT file. 

The new DOCX download is available for our popular Stockholm and Sydney templates. Simply download and begin the job application process.Keep in mind that the Sydney template has a color sidebar that appears to be different on the second page in the preview, however once downloaded or printed it should match the sidebar on the first page.
