How do I cancel, downgrade or delete my account?
You can cancel a Resume.io subscription from our website, even without logging into the app. Visit our contact page and choose the Cancel Subscription tab from the menu.
Once you click “Cancel your subscription,” you’ll be able to search for your account using your email address. If your email address is found, you can click the cancel subscription button.
Once you click the button, we'll send you a confirmation email. You will need to confirm the cancellation by following the steps provided via email. If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, try checking your spam folder or searching your inbox for "Resume.io".
If your email address is not found, you might want to try searching for a different email address you could have used. If this still doesn't work or you're not receiving a confirmation email, you can follow the steps below to cancel your subscription from the app or email support@resume.io for help.
How to cancel or downgrade your account from the app
You can downgrade or cancel your account at any time right from the app. First log in, or follow the steps on this page for help. From your account dashboard, click your profile photo in the upper right corner to open a drop-down menu. Choose “Account Settings” towards the bottom of the menu. You will see the option to downgrade your account right at the top of the Account Settings page. If you purchased six-month or yearly access, your plan will not auto-renew, so you will not see an option to downgrade.
What happens after I cancel or downgrade my account?
After you confirm the cancellation of your subscription, you will have premium access for 30 days from your last monthly payment or 7 days from your last trial payment. If you purchased six-month or yearly access, your account will be automatically downgraded to a free plan when your premium subscription.
You can always log back in to Resume.io to edit or access your resume and use our free features, as well as upgrade again at any point in the future.
Will I lose my resume or cover letter if I downgrade my account?
Any resumes or cover letters you made while on a premium subscription will still be available to download once you downgrade your plan. However, you will lose your documents if you choose to permanently delete your account data.
How do I delete my account for good?
To delete your account permanently, scroll to the bottom of the Account Settings page where you will see the section called “Danger Zone”. Click “Delete Account” to proceed with the deletion of your account data. Follow the steps to confirm the cancellation.
Deleting your Resume.io account is permanent. Once an account is deleted, our support team cannot retrieve your resume or cover letter data.
